Frame

You have the choice of a drum frame in ash or willow. If you have a preference for a wood type, indicate this in the comments during the order process, otherwise we will feel which frame fits best.

Drum skin

We have various goat skins in stock. Do you have a preference for a colour with a hairy skin, plain or patchy? Indicate this during the order process in the comments field.

Robe

We choose the rope colour that matches the hide. If you have a colour preference, please indicate this during the ordering process in the comments field.

With the DIY drum building kit, we include a standard length of rope: for frames up to and including 45 cm that is 16 metres of rope, for a 50 cm frame 18 metres of rope, and for a 55 cm frame 24 metres of rope are included.

This length is calculated for 16 lacing cords, the most commonly used method for lacing a drum. If you want to work with more lacing cords, order 4 meter extra touw erbij.

Skins are a natural product from a living being, a spirit. That is why we consciously source the skins for our shamanic drums and the skins with which you can create your own spiritual drum or healing drum. With the creation of the drum, the spirit of the animal receives a new life and can do much good in its new form.

We have 25 years of experience in buying and selling drum skins, have good contact with our suppliers in Pakistan and know for certain that the animals have been treated with respect and were not killed for their hide.
