Cord for drum building

Cord for drum building At Sjamaan.nl you can lace your drum in 2 different ways: with cord or with lace. Lace is a natural product, made from water buffalo hide. The width is approximately 1 cm and the thickness of the lace is on average 0.2 cm. While lacing, you wet the lace and as it dries it shrinks, bringing your drum to a higher tension. The cord we use and sell for drum building is cord also used for parachutes. This cord is strong, unbreakable and non-elastic. The cord retains its firmness thanks to its double core, keeping the drum at the right tension — making it suitable for adjustable shamanic drums as well as drums that are laced directly to the correct tension. The drum building cord has a diameter of 3 mm and fits perfectly in the holes made by <a href="https://sjamaan.nl/en/product-category/supplies-for-drum-building/hole-punches/ we recommend for making drums. For lace we recommend slightly larger holes, approximately 5 to 6 mm — the hole punch pliers are perfect for this.
